Pilgrim Surf + Supply SPECIAL EVENT Vol. 3: MY FIRST ART FIN ~Let’s make fin art during the summer break~

Koji Toyoda, the art director of Palm Graphics, will be teaching a drawing workshop for children on the deck of Pilgrim Surf + Supply.

Titled "My First Art Fin", participants will use paint and markers to decorate wooden fins with their favorite designs under the tutelage of Mr. Toyoda. The finished fins will be displayed in the fin section of our store until September 4th (Sunday), after which you may take them home.

We hope you will consider this end-of-summer workshop as an opportunity for the whole family to share happy memories by creating art in the comfortable and open environment of our store.

【PROFILE】


Koji Toyoda

1962    Born May 22nd in Osaka
1972    Becomes enthralled by the Ivy-League fashion style. Has his first skateboarding experience.
1977    Surfs for the first time at Kounohama Beach in Mie Prefecture.

After graduating from design school, he worked at design studios and at Tabio Corp. on the way to doing freelance work. His travels have brought him to various places around the world including New York, Europe, California, Hawaii, Asia, Indonesia, the Maldives, and South Africa.

1992    His realization of the importance of surfing as a part of his lifestyle becomes his inspiration for designing the Enjoy Surf logo.
1996    Founds Palm Graphics as a design organization with a surfing theme.
2001    Establishes Kukai & Co. Ltd., where he works to this day.

 


Target audience:Children ages 5 and older (up to elementary school age)

Price:¥2,000 per child (incl. tax) Both the workshop and wooden fin are included in the fee.

Capacity:12 children per day (slots filled on a first-come first-served basis).
*This event has limited availability.
Please be aware that the registration period will end once the number of participants has reached capacity.

What to bring:We will provide everything necessary for the workshop.
Snacks: We offer apple juice and Sambazon Acai bowls.

 


Important Precautions:

• As this event will be held outdoors, please take any necessary precautions against the heat.
• Since the workshop involves the use of paints, there is a risk of clothes becoming stained or dirty.

Payment method:
Payments will be accepted on the day of the event during check-in.
Please be aware that payments are cash-only.
